What if regular meeting attendance wasn't a requirement?
by R.F. inwe all know how regular meeting attendance is the ultimate way of measuring the "faith" of those among the religion, other than field service reports.
what do you think would happen with the attendance numbers if you were only encouraged to go as a sort of option, if you weren't hounded for not attending regularly?

i'm sure everyone of us preached the ''good news'' when we were faithful to the wts.

14 "This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.
I'm sure everyone of us preached the ''good news'' when we were faithful to the WTS. We were taught that our preaching would help Jesus and his angels know who were the sheep or the goats. This work would be done by the Witnesses only and then the end would come.
How does the WTS answer these questions:
What exact words do the Witnesses use that would help Jesus know who are the sheep or goats?
Is the refusal of not excepting the literature enough to judge?
Can Jesus really judge someone just by someone knocking on your door or leaving literature behind?

Today, it is so important that we follow the guidance that comes to us through "the faithful and discreet slave"!
Today, we may not clearly see why some organizational matters are handled in a certain way, but we have every reason to trust in Jehovah's guidance through his faithful channel of communication.

'' i don't hand in ''service reports'',attend maybe 3 meetings a month,ain't signed up for the ministry school and will never attend any convention or the ''book study.
'' always make the ''memorial.

I'm a baptized member considered ''inactive.'' I don't hand in ''service reports'',attend maybe 3 meetings a month,ain't signed up for the Ministry School and will never attend any Convention or the ''Book Study.'' Always make the ''Memorial.'' I've been doing the fade for years. The C.O.....P.O...and... D.O. pretty much leave me alone.I only stay for family reasons.

I'm in my early 40's and take my 16 year old son to Heavy Metal concerts. Now,I enjoy Death Metal.( PLEASE DON'T JUDGE ME! ) I' seen live in concert:
NAPALM DEATH.... SIX FEET UNDER.... SOULFLY....ENSLAVED....DECAPITATED....NILE....UNLEASHED....MINISTRY....OPETH....OZZY...MEGADETH and the list goes on.

Aren't we all responsible for the success of the Watchtower Society?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inraymond franz was a member of the governing body of jehovah's witnesses from 1971 until may 22, 1980, and served at the organization's world headquarters for fifteen years, from 1965 until 1980. franz wrote and edited two detailed books which relate his personal experiences with the watch tower bible and tract society and fellow members of the jehovah's witness organization.. .
after reading ray franz's books,i held him and his fellow members responsible for all the false teachings.
i also wasn't forgiving any of them even if they found out that it wasn't the ''truth'' and left the organization.now i changed my mind.

Franz wrote and edited two detailed books which relate his personal experiences with the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society and fellow members of the Jehovah's Witness organization.
After reading Ray Franz's books,I held him and his fellow members responsible for all the false teachings. I also wasn't forgiving any of them even if they found out that it wasn't the ''truth'' and left the organization.Now I changed my mind.
Aren't we all responsible one way or another for the success(6 million strong and counting) of the WTS when we: donated money....got baptized....preached the ''good news''....brought in our family into the organization....signed up for the Ministry School....became Elders,Ministerial Servants?

Big Announcement on next Service meeting
by The Lone Ranger inthere seems to be a very important announcement this coming weeking on the next service meeting, forme it will be on wednesday 30th jan.. during the last 2 meetings they have asked that every batized jw be at that meeting and even to tell others who might not have heard the annoucement.. anyone here have any ideas i wouldn't be surprised if they are changing meeting times and arrangments...less meeting at is !.

19) Are you helping your children to 'keep themselves without spot from the world'? (James 1:27) Satan would like to reel in your children as a man reels in fish. Various clubs and other organizations are designed to make young people fit in with Satan's world. But Jehovah's servants already belong to the only organization that will survive the end of this wicked system of things. So Christian youths should be encouraged to have "plenty to do in the work of the Lord." (1 Corinthians 15:58) Godly parents need to assist their children to set goals that will give them a happy and rewarding life that honors God and helps them to be ready for Jehovah's day.
What kind of bait does Satan use to reel in young people? What are the clubs or other organizations that make young people fit in with Satan's world?
Can you please give us some examples?........... Are they playing sports? Going to Heavy Metal shows? Going to sporting events? After school activities?
I guess the answer to ''keeping themselves without spot from the world'' is to encourage all the youths to have ''plenty to do in the work of the lord." Just let them preach,attend 3 meetings per week,and have no other activities.That's why nearly all the youths today leave as soon as they reach 18 years old.

Chicago's underworld heritage. Here's the biograph theatre where they shot Dillinger in the alley. Down the street there is where they held the St. Valentine's Day massacre. The city of Al Capone. Machine-gun Kelley. Guys named Bugsy.On the south side of Chicago in more recent times, there were a couple of dudes with very bad reputations; Flukey Stokes and his son Willie the Wimp. They beat people up. They sold drugs. They became wealthy. Willie the Wimp was shot in 1984 and dad threw a funeral. Thousands were invited. Even more invited themselves. People don't often see the recently departed sitting up and holding the steering wheel of a coffin modeled after the Cadillac Seville. A coffin with flashing lights and flowers for wheels. Oh sure, there were some other thoughtful touches, rings on his fingers and c-notes stuck like cigarettes in his hands.
The post-burial birthday party for Willie the Wimp was held at the same motel where Willie was shot. So it was, Willie the Wimp became more famous in his coffin than he had been in the street. It's a story that inspires song. Flukey Stokes was gunned down last November as he sat in his car. We thought you'd like to know Stevie Ray isn't singing about some Mickey Spillane fiction. He's singing about Chicago.

The WTS leaves me no choice but to ''fade''!

if you get disfellowshiped,disasociate yourself,or reject the teachings of the organizationan ....... you will be treated the same.
they really give you no other ways of leaving the organization.

Notice what it says in the Watchtower magazines from the 1980's about people who either reject or leave the faith of Jehovah's Witnesses. If you get disfellowshiped,disasociate yourself,or reject the teachings of the organizationan ....... you will be treated the same. They really give you no other ways of leaving the organization.
Because of many family members still in ''the truth''(YEAH RIGHT!) the WTS give me no other choice but to ''fade''.
Persons who make themselves 'not of our sort' by deliberately rejecting the faith and beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses should appropriately be viewed and treated as are those who have been disfellowshiped for wrongdoing. --The Watchtower, September 15, 1981, page 23.
...occasionally a Witness on his own initiative will decide to leave the [Watchtower organization]. ... They then will adhere to the inspired injunction 'not to receive such a one into their homes or say a greeting to him so as not to become sharers in his wicked works.' --The Watchtower, July 1, 1984, page 31.
